Mr. Bitty Halloween Card (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)
Happy Halloween :o)
Today it´s my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this Mr. Bitty Halloween Card.
I used an adorable image 'Mr. Bitty'. He is so fun! :o)
Details about my card... so many techniques, so much fun :o) ...
I printed the image twice, one on a white watercoloring paper and second on a cardstock paper.
I colored one image (on the watercoloring paper) in watercoloring technique, using Distress Inks (Dusty Concord and Black Soot), fine paint brush and water. Before I started coloring, I covered Mr. Bitty's eyes, cheeks and fangs with gloss resin, to create glossy accents and to prevent these parts from smearing during the coloring.
After the image was dry, I fussy cut it, colored edges with black pen and glued it over the second image printed on cardstock paper. I did this because I needed my image to be thick and watercoloring paper I use is very thin. I fussy cut image again, leaving white border around it this time.
Then I made a panel.
I cut out a circle on the white cardstock paper panel. I colored the panel by blending Distress Inks (Dusty Concord and Black Soot) with Blending Tool. When I was satisfied with color, I splattered water with my fingers over the panel and dried it.
The Moon is made in ink smooshing technique. I mixed Black Soot Distress Ink with a loot of water to get light grey color, took a piece of the watercoloring paper and smooshed colors on it. I did this in layers, drying them in between. When I was satisfied with the color of the Moon, I glued it behind the colored panel.
I used sentiment from Jane's Doodles 'Winnie Halloween' stamp set and heat embossed it directly on the panel. I wasn't satisfied, because lines were too bold and word 'happy' was unrecognizable. I didn't wan't to threw away whole panel, so I fixed it. I heat embossed same sentiment on a piece of black cardstock paper, fussy cut it and glued over the sentiment I didn't like.
At the end I put all elements together. I glued colored panel on a card base, added 3D dots behind Mr. Bitty and placed him on a card.
Card dimensions are 101 mm x 133 mm (4" x 5 1/4").

Christmas Elf Card (Crafty Creations Challenges #301)
Hi everyone :o)
I'm a bit late with posting this one...
Yesterday a new challenge started at Crafty Creations Challenges.
Our theme for this fortnight is #301 - Colorful!!! Use 4 or more colors. Make your project colorful. :o)
Our sponsor for this challenge is SLS Lines, with a prize for our lucky winner.
For this challenge I made this Christmas Elf Card, using our sponsor's cute digital image 'Christmas Elf'.
I printed the image on a white watercoloring paper and colored it in watercoloring technique. I used Stabilo pens (markers), fine round brush and water. I learned that from a great video tutorial by Julia Altermann, how to watercolor using inexpensive Stabilo pens.
I didn't like hair color, which I first colored with mixture of yellow and orange color, as well as a bear, which was light brown, so I recolored hair and bear with Distress Inks. Much much better.
Before coloring, I covered dots on Elf's dress with gloss resin because I wanted them white and would surely smear them during coloring.
While I was coloring Elf's dress, I manged to smear bottom part of it. I didn't want to throw away the image because I really liked how I colored other parts of the image, so I printed one more image on the white watercoloring paper and colored bottom part of the image.
Then I printed one more image on design paper, fussy cut all colored pieces, colored edges with black marker and glued (layered) all pieces together.
At the end I glued designer papers and image on a white cardstock card base and covered snowflakes on the ground with gloss resin to create glossy accents.
Card dimensions are 107 mm x 139 mm (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").
List of supplies:
- SLS Lines 'Christmas Elf' digital stamp

I made two same design Season's Greeting Cards, using two Jane's Doodles stamp sets: 'Winter Wishes' (which is back on stock) and 'Mr. & Mrs. Claus'.
Two days ago I got Heat it tool and supplies for heat embossing from my boyfriend. What an awesome gift!!! :o)
These two cards are my first Heat Embossed and Watermarked cards and I'm very satisfied with results. :o)
First I made a darker card.
I cut out a panel and Heat Embossed sentiment and white snowflakes on it.
Then I stamped snowflakes with VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad, dried it and created Watermark Effect.
I also stamped snowflakes with Distress Ink Walnut Stain. Using blending tool, I distressed panel, with stronger pressure on edges and lighter on the whole surface, as well as a card base.
I glued strong 3-D foam tape on the back of the panel and placed it on a card base.
I made second, lighter card, same way as the darker one. On this one I didn't use Distress Ink.
I Heat Embossed sentiment and white snowflakes, stamped snowflakes with VersaMark and created Watermark Effect, distressed panel's edges with Cloud White Chalk-Ink, glued strong 3-D foam tape on the back of the panel and placed it on a card base.
Both cards measure 107 mm x 138 mm (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").
