Yesterday I made a Birthday Card for Patrik. Patrik is my nephew, son of my dear cousin, beautiful sweet little boy, who will turn 7 this Thursday.
For my card layout I used a beautiful sketch093 with a twist from I {heart} sketches by Imke Ludvig. Twist was to make birthday card. There was also an inspirational color board, but I didn´t use it.
Card dimensions are 98 mm x 139 mm (3 7/8" x 5 1/2").
I used one bird from From the Heart Stamps 'Flappy Birthday Birdbrain' digital stamp set, which includes lovely image and four sentiments.
Image is paper pieced and it has two layers.
I printed one image on white cardstock paper and other on white paper (160 grams). After printing, I colored image on white paper, fussy cut it, colored edges with black fine liner and glued pieces over the image printed on white cardstock paper.
I also added some transparent varnish on eyelids, beak, belly dots and balloon to create glossy accents and to pop up parts of image.
