I Love Math Challenge #15

Hello everyone!!!

My 4th post today. If you missed previous three just scroll down or follow direct links herehere and here. :o)

Welcome to a new I Love Math Challenge!

This is the fifteenth challenge and our last for this year. WoW!! Can you believe the challenge is running for four years now. :o)

We will continue with our challenges next year too, there will be just two differences. Our challenges will run three times a year, every 4 moths. By now our challenges run quarterly, four times a year, but due to a lot of changes in my life and a fact I'm employed now, I decided to go with 3 challenges per year. To give everyone enough time to join challenges, all our future challenges will last two months, starting from this challenge. You can find schedule of upcoming challenges here.

If you're new to my blog, you can find more about the challenge here.

And now let's move on on our theme. :o) As the Winter is very close and Christmas too, we decided to go with a theme that you will love for sure: Anything Math goes on Christmas/Winter project/s. :o)

Two very talented cratfers from India are joining us in this challenge: Anila Dikay and Priyanka Kantak. :o)

Anila Dikay of Novel-ideas is a friend crafter and frequent I Love Math Challenge player. She supports the challenge form it's beginning. She has been several times TOP 4 in our challenges and also won couple times. Well deserved it, as she amazes with her Math creations. :o) I'm very happy that she accepted my invitation to join as in this challenge as a Guest Designer. :o)

Here is what Anila said:

'Hello!
I am Anila Dikay from Mumbai, India.
A cardmaker and a big fan of Math, I have been a long time follower of this challenge. I have also been lucky enough to have been in the Top 4 a few times and a winner with them twice.
I am really obliged that Milka gave me this opportunity of Guest Designing for this challenge. It feels awesome to be along with these four talented ladies - Milka, Neha, Kaja and Valentina, all of whom I admire and love the work of.
When I came to know about the theme for this challenge, I thought of  incorporating the basic concept of addition on my card. The card is simply based on some Christmas themed Math worksheets for preschoolers. Hope you all like my take on this challenge.'

And here is Anila's SUPER CUTE card. LOVE!!! :o)

So so cute!! Use of an equation on the card is a brilliant idea!! :o) I LOVE Anila's take on the challenge and her CAS card.  Jump over to Anila's blog and find more details about her card. :o)

Priyanka Kantak of Curly makes is a friend crafter, also a frequent I Love Math Challenge player. Her Math and other creations are beautiful and inspiring, and it makes me very happy that she accepted my invitation to join as in this challenge as a Guest Designer. :o)

Here is what Priyanka said:

'Hi Everyone! This is Priyanka from Curly Makes. Welcome to a new 'I Love Math Challenge' .
To say that I LOVE participating in this challenge would be an understatement. I truly admire Milka's work and when she invited me to guest design for this challenge, I jumped with joy. Thank you Milka.
The theme this time is 'Christmas/Winter and the design is 'Anything Math Goes'. I immediately thought about creating an interactive card (me being obssesed with them). To represent the Maths part and Christmas I diecut a Star from the front panel and created a Surprise Window card. A surprise snowy scene awaits you on the other side of the card.
Hope you like it.'

And here is Priyanka's GORGEOUS interactive card. LOVE!!! :o)

Gorgeous interactive card!! Love the adorable winter scene!!! Pentagram shape as a window on the card is a brilliant idea!! :o) I LOVE Priyanka's take on the challenge and her CAS card.  Jump over to Priyanka's blog and find more details about her card. :o)

And now inspiration from the team... Our lovely Kaja is taking a break form this challenge. :o)

Here is Valentina's take on the challenge. :o)

GORGEOUS!!! Adorable winter scene, beautifully colored, placed in geometric shapes. Brilliant layout!!  ♥ I love Valentina's take on this challenge theme and how she used rectangles and circles as Math elements to create adorable winter scene.  Jump over to Valentina's blog and find more details about her card. :o)

Here is Neha's take on the challenge. :o)

STUNNING!!! Gorgeous CAS design, colors, scene... I'm amazed how she put so much elements on her card and kept it CAS. BRILLIANT!!! Love her gorgeous trees created with various sized triangles. ♥ I LOVE Neha's card and her take on this challenge theme.Find more details about Neha's card on her blog. :o)

And here is my take on the challenge: Starry Tag. :o)

For this challenge I decided to create a tag combining my two favorite geometrical shapescircle and pentagram.

How I made my tag...

First I die cut two same sized circles, one from a Kraft cardstock paper and second from a white cardstock paper. Then I die cut stars in the white cardstock paper circle. When I was satisfied with a starry pattern, I punched a tiny hole on both circles.

I glued 3-D foam squares on the back of the white starry patterned circle and glued it on the Kraft circle, lining punched holes. Lastly, I tied a brown string on the tag.

I like how my tag turned out. :o)

Tag measurements: d = 57 mm (2 1/4")

List of supplies:

Now it's your turn...

Create Christmas or Winter themed project (card, layout, box, bag etc.). Include something Math (anything you like) and please explain shortly what is Math element on your project in your blog post.
