Violet Butterflies Card (Crafty Creations Challenges #286)

Hi everyone :-D

My second post today...

It´s time for a new challenge at Crafty Creations Challenges.
http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/

Our theme for this fortnight is #286 - Anything Goes.... No Foolin'!
You can link any creation, any style... anything! And this isn't an April Fool's joke. :-D

Our sponsor for this challenge is San's Design.
http://blogg.sansdesign.se/

The winner of this challenge will receive the Black & White line art for the 6 images shown below.

For this challenge I made this CAS (clean and simple), Violet Butterflies Card, using our sponsor´s beautiful image.

I printed an image on a white watercoloring paper and colored it with aquarell colored pencil in watercoloring technique. I love these aquarell colored pencils I have. I can use them for drawing, coloring and watercoloring. 3 in 1! :-D

I colored and splattered several images. Printer ink doesn't like water and if not coloring very carefully or splats "touch" black ink, everything smears very fast and doesn't look nice at all. And that happened to me over and over again. And I colored until I got this one. Well, who wants black smears on the image. :-D

My last and successful attempt: I masked the image and splattered the panel with minimum amount of water on a brush. Then I quickly dried the panel with hair dryer (I don't have heat gun). :-D

Card dimensions are 101 mm x 146 mm (4" x 5 3/4").

List of supplies:
  • San's Design digital image
  • white cardstock paper
  • white watercoloring paper
  • Koh-i-noor Mondeluz aquarell colored pencil (violet 13)
  • double sided strong adhesive tape
