Beautiful You... Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone :-D

Today it's my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles.

I made CAS (clean and simple), Beautiful You... Card.

I used two gorgeous Jane's Doodles stamp sets, Anemone and Butterflies.

Image is paper pieced and it has three layers.

I stamped three anemones on a white watercoloring paper and colored their parts in watercoloring technique, using Violet Stabilo pen (marker), fine brush and water. I learned that from a great video tutorial by Julia Altermann, how to watercolor using inexpensive Stabilo pens.

After drying, I fussy cut colored images, colored overlapping parts and borders of images with black pen and glued all pieces together. I added glue only in the middle of images, because I wanted to get 3-D image.

Using fine brush, I curled petals a bit.

Then I cut out Kraft paper panel (this is a recycled item), stamped sentiment on it and glued it on a white card base.

At the end, I added thick foam behind my 3-D Anemone and place it on a card. I also decorated card with two stripes of Lace border sticker I got from a friend Kristina.

Card dimensions are 101 mm x 134 mm (4" x 5 1/4").
