Striped Birthday Cards

Hello everyone! :o)

I hope you're having a great day. :o) My second post today... If you missed the first one, just scroll down or follow a direct link here.

I've played again with a CAS(E) this Sketch #160 and made these two one layerCAS (clean and simple), Striped Birthday Cards.

Here is the CAS(E) this Sketch #160.

If you like, you can see my first take on this sketch here.

For card bases I used Canson XL Mixed Media Paper. I measured width of stripes and drew lines lightly with pencil. I stamped a sentiment from Jane's Doodles 'Birthday Wishes' stamp set directly on the card base and watercolored loosely stripes using Distress Inks and a little water.

When I was satisfied with color of stripes I left cards dry on air. After drying, I highlighted stripes with black marker and my cards were finished. :o)

Card dimensions: 95 mm x 134 mm (3 3/4" x 5 1/4")

List of supplies:
  • Jane's Doodles 'Birthday Wishes' stamp set
  • Canson XL Mixed Media Paper, 300 g
  • Ranger's Archival Ink (Jet Black)
  • Tim's Holtz Distress Inks
    • Mustard Seed (1st card)
