Yellow Hibiscuses Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Happy Friday! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Yellow Hibiscuses Card:o)

For my card I used stamps from two Jane's Doodles stamp sets: 'Hibiscus' and 'All Occasions'.

I really love how my Hibiscus Card from our last blog hop turned out and just had to CASE it (Copy And Share Everything). This time I used one more hibiscus flower stamp from the set and went with different color scheme.

How I made my card...

With some masking, I stamped gorgeous hibiscus flowers on a white watercolor paper. I made masks of all hibiscus flowers from the set when I received it and stored them to use them in my future projects.

I colored gaps among flowers with black marker. Then I watercolored hibiscus flowers in watercolor technique using Distress Inks.

After drying, I glued the panel on a black top folded card base and drew white highlights on flowers with a white pigment ink.

Lastly, I heat embossed in white on a black cardstock paper a sentiment 'Thank You', cut the stripe to a desirable size, added some foam on the sentiment stripe and glued it on the card. :o)

Jellyfish Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Jellyfish Card:o)

To make this card, I was inspired with a card I created in January 2017 (here) and a card I created in July 2017 (here). I used stamps from an adorable Jane's Doodles 'Under the Sea' stamp set.

How I made my card...

stamped jellyfish on a watercolor paper panel and heat embossed bubbles in white. I masked jellyfish and blended the panel with Distress Inks. I splattered the panel with water, dried the panel and repeated the process. When I was satisfied with panel color, I splattered the panel with a Distress Ink Faded Jeans mixed with a bit of water.

After drying, I removed masks and colored jellyfish in watercolor technique using Distress Inks.

Then I glued the panel on a white top folded card base and coated jellyfish and bubbles with Wink of Stella.

As a finishing touch I drew white highlights and dots on jellyfish and dots on the panel with a white pigment ink. :o)

I really like how my card turned out. Jellyfish look like they're glowing in a sea. :o)

    I Love Math Challenge #10

Hello everyone and welcome to a new I Love Math Challenge!

I'm experiencing some internet connection issues these days and was unable to finish my post neither to publish it yesterday, when our challenge should have been started. Well, now it's here. :o)

This is the tenth challenge. If you're new to my blog, you can find all about the challenge here.

A theme for this challenge is picked by our lovely Kaja: SUMMER with LINE(S) and/or STRIPES.

"A line is a straight one-dimensional figure having no thickness and extending infinitely in both directions. A line is sometimes called a straight line or, more archaically, a right line (Casey 1893)."
    Source: Wolfram Math World (http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Line.html)

A stripe is "long, narrow band or stripe differing in color or texture from the surface on either side of it."
Source: English Oxford Living Dictionaries (https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/stripe)

And now inspiration from the team...

Here is Kaja's take on the challenge.

Super cuteness overload!!! Beautiful and bright full design, super cute scene... ♥ I love Kaja's challenge theme, the card she created and how she incorporated the challenge theme into her summer themed card: stripes in the background. Jump over to Kaja's blog and find more details about her card. :o)

Here is Neha's take on the challenge.

GORGEOUS!!! Beautiful design, modern look... ♥ I love Neha's card and how she incorporated the challenge theme into her CAS card: black, bold stripes and origami pigeons. Brilliant!!! And look at that GORGEOUS painting.  Jump over to Neha's blog and find more details about her card. :o)

And here is my take on the challenge: Rainbow Striped Ice-Scones Card.

I decided to go with stripes and used gorgeous rainbow striped patterned paper form Lawn Fawn 'Really Rainbow' petite paper pack.

I went with a die cut inlay technique. I love puzzles and this technique is super fun to me. :o)

Also, I finally used a gorgeous ice-scone die cut from Create a Smile 'Sending Sunshine' kit. Not bad for a first time use. :o)

I die cut the ice-scone several times from a white cardstock paper. Then I die cut ice-scones in a rainbow striped patterned paper panel.

I glued the panel on a white top folded card base and glued die cuts into openings.

As a finishing touch, I coated ice-scones with Clear Wink of Stella. :o)

    Card dimensions: 102 mm x 146 mm  (4" x 5 3/4")

Christmas Candy Elf Card (KBD Aloha Friday Challenge #112)

    http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

    Happy Friday! :o)

My second post today. If you missed the first one just scroll down or follow a direct link here.

Today a new Aloha Friday Challenge starts at Kitty Bee Designs.

The challenge for this fortnight is #122 - Christmas in July.

We have two sponsors for this challenge: A Day For Daisies and  The Paper Nest Dolls, so there will be double prizes! :o)

And here's my take on the challenge: Christmas Candy Elf Card. :o)

For my card I used a GORGEOUS A Day For Daisies 'Candy Elf C' digital image.

I went with a same layout as on my card I shared in December 2016 (find it here).

    How I made my card...

I printed the elf on a watercolor paper and left it aside for a day. I colored the elf in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the elf, traced edges with black marker and softened the elf with stylus ball.

I printed another elf directly on a card base. After printing, I folded card base and colored the elf with black marker. Then I glued the colored elf over the "black one". This is kind of paper piecing and adds some dimension to the image. :o)

Next up was a sentiment. I used a font I downloaded from dafontImpact Label Font. Love it!! :o)
    Important: Read licences before downloading.

I printed the sentiment on a white cardstock paper, cut it out, colored edges with black marker and got lovely label, as if I had label maker. I glued 3-D foam on the label and placed it on the card.

As a finishing touch I embellished the card with sequins. :o)

    Dimensions: 95 mm x 127 mm (3 3/4" x 5")

    List of supplies:

I hope you'll like my card for the challenge and get inspired. For more inspiration, stop by the Kitty Bee Designs blog and check out lovely projects my Design Team mates created. And don't forget to join us in this challenge. We are looking forward to see your projects. :o)
