Communion Girl Card

Hi everyone! :o)

Today I want to share with you this CAS (clean and simple), Communion Girl Card.

I made this card in May, for a friend of mine who's niece had her First Communion. I totally forgot to share this card. :o)

How I made my card...

I used a GORGEOUS A Day For Daisies 'Tender Thoughts' digital image. Lovely girl, flowers and butterflies... So serene. :o)

This is a second card I made using this gorgeous image. You can find the first card here.

I went with same layout on this card as on my first card using this image. I already had a layout on my computer. I resized the image a bit and printed the image on a white cardstock paper panel. I printed another image on a watercolor paper panel and left images dry through the night to prevent ink smearing while coloring.

Next day I colored images in watercolor technique using Distress Inks and Aquarel Colored Pencils. I colored flowers and butterflies directly on the panel. I colored the girl printed on the watercolor paper, fussy cut it after drying and traced edges with a black marker. I softened the girl image using stylus ball and glued her over the image printed on the panel.

I glued 3 mm thick foam sheet on the back of the panel and glued it on a white top folded card base. As a finishing touch, I coated flowers and butterflies with Clear Wink of Stella.
