Winter Wonderland Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Happy Friday! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Winter Wonderland Card. :o)

To create this card I used stamps from four Jane's Doodles stamp sets: Driving Home For Christmas, Warm Wishes, Winter Wishes and Winter Fun. 

   

I heat embossed in white snowflakes on a white carstock paper panel. I blended the panel with Distress Inks. When I was satisfied with the color, I splattered the panel with water and after with white acrylic paint.

While the panel was drying, I stamped a snowman on a white watercolor paper, colored him in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. I stamped one more snowman, as I colored a carrot awfully, so I had to cover it. After coloring, I fussy cut snowman and carrot, traced edges with black marker and softened them with a stylus ball on a soft working mat. This curls image a bit and gives nice dimension. :o)

When the panel was dry, I stamped another snowman on the panel, glued colored fussy cut pieces over him and glued the panel on a white top folded card base

As a finishing touch, I drew more white dots on the panel and highlighted snowman's cap and Christmas lights using white gel pen.
