B&W Goth Birthday Girl Card

Hi everyone! :o)

Today I want to share with you this Black & White, Goth Birthday Girl Card. :o)

To make this card I used an adorable Tiddly Inks 'Whatever Floats By' digital image and My Favorite Things 'Cloud' stencil. :o)

I love challenging myself. Using minimum number of colors on my projects is one of them. :o) On my today's card I used only two colors: Tim's Holtz Distress Ink Black Soot for coloring and ink blending and Uniball Signo White Pigment Ink Pen to add finishing touches.

How I made my card...

I made a layout on my computer and printed the image directly on a watercolor paper. I left it aside couple of hours to let ink dry completely to prevent ink smearing while coloring.

I trimmed the watercolor paper to a desirable size and ink blended clouds in the background using the cloud stencil. I didn't mask the image, as I planed to color it afterwards, but tried to avoid as much as possible blending over it. I'm vary satisfied with my stenciled clouds, as this was the first time I created clouds on my card using ink blending technique and the cloud stencil. :o)

Next up was coloring. I colored the image in watercolor technique and left it dry on air.

After drying, I ink blended the panel edges and glued it on a black top folded card base. As a finishing touch, I drew white highlights with the white pigment ink pen.

I love how my card turned out. :o)

Card measurements: 98 mm x 148 mm (3 7/8" x 5 7/8")
