To The Moon Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight) + World Space Week (WSW day 6)

Hi everyone! :o)

Yesterday was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this To The Moon Card. :o)

I didn't manage to share this card yesterday here on my blog. The day was sunny and beautiful, so I spent the day outside. When I returned home, I was way too tired to blog about my card. :o)

As it's World Space Week (WSW) and I'm celebrating whole week, I went with space themed card today. I'm hosting World Space Week Blog Hop here on my blog. There's still time to join the hop and enter the giveaway. Find all details and start the hop here. :o)

To make this card I used stamps from a GORGEOUS Jane's Doodles 'To The Moon' stamp set and Jane's 'Earth' free digital image.

How I made this card...

I printed the Earth and stamped the Moon and the Saturn twice: one image on a watercolor paper and second on a white cardstock paper.

I colored all planets in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut planets and traced their edges with black marker. Then I fussy cut planets printed on the cardstock paper, traced their edges with black marker and glued watercolored planets over them.

I heat embossed in white a sentiment on a black cardstock paper panel and splattered the panel with white tempera color mixed with water. After drying, I glued the panel on a black side folded card base.

Lastly, I glued some foam on the back of each planet, glued them on the card base and my card was finished. :o)

  3. Your universe is absolutely sensational Milka! Your planets really 'pop' against the black, starry sky! The sentiment: one of my favourites!
