Hi everyone! :o)
Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this Honey Bee Circle Card. :o)
I CASEd my own card that I shared last year here on my blog. I went with same design, layout, background and color scheme, but I used different bee image. You can find my CASEd card here.
For my today's card I used a SUPER CUTE Kitty Bee Designs 'Honey Bee' digital image. This is my second card I made using this image. You can find the first one here. :o)
How I made my card....
I printed the bee three times, twice on a white cardstock paper and once on a watercolor paper. I left images dry through the night to prevent ink smearing while coloring.
I die cut a wonky stitched circle in the white cardstock paper with the bee printed on it. I cut two black circles in a black cardstock paper, glued them together and created a card base. Then I glued the white wonky stitched circle panel on the card base. I colored the bee on the panel in black with a Black Stabilo Fiber Tip Pen. I also colored the other bee printed on the white cardstock, in black, fussy cut it and traced edges with the Black Stabilo Fiber Tip Pen.

I colored the bee printed on the watercolor paper in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the bee (I cut away antennas) and traced edges with the Black Stabilo Fiber Tip Pen. Then I glued images together: watercolored bee over the black one. I did this because the watercolor paper I use is thin and I needed thicker image. I glued some 3D foam on the back of the bee image and glued the bee on the card, over the another black bee. I did this to add extra shading to the image.
As a finishing touch I drew white highlights and dots with white pigment ink pen and my card was finished. :o)
