Mason Jar CAS Shaker Card (Jane's Doodles DT June Spotlight)

Happy Friday! :o)

This is my second post today. If you missed the first one, just scroll down, or follow a direct link here. I've announced my 6th Bloggoversary winner. :o)

This weekend I'll be sharing my Jane's Doodles spotlight projects that I made in June, July, August and September, but I didn't share them here on my blog yet. Two days ago I shared full list of projects that I'll be sharing (here).

Today I'm sharing my June and July spotlights, three spotlights in total, all in separate blog posts. My posts are scheduled and will go live every hour.

First one today is this CAS (clean and simple), Mason Jar Shaker Card. It was my spotlight project for Jane's Doodles on Thursday, June 4th, 2020.  :o)

To make this card, I was inspired with my own card that I made in April 2018 (here).

I used stamps from two Jane's Doodles stamp sets: a mason jar from 'Life is Good' and a sentiment from 'Cactus'.

How I made my card...

I stamped the mason jar on a white cardstock paper panel and cut it out with sissors (I left a lid uncut). I traced the edges and colored the lid with a black marker. Then I glued an acetate sheet on the panel to close window.

I stamped the sentiment on the acetate window. I fixed some lines with a black fine liner.

I stamped another jar on a white top folded card base. I ink blended it with Distress Inks. When I was satisfied with the color, I glued 3-D foam squares on the panel, filled the jar with transparent beads and glued the panel on the card base.

Then I stamped another lid on the white cardstock paper scrap and ink blended it with Distress Inks. I cut out the lid, traced edges with the black marker, glued 3-D foam squares on the lid and glued it over the black one.

To make my card sturdier, I glued another white cardstock paper panel inside the card.

As a finishing touch, I coated the lid with a Clear Wink of Stella and my card was finished. :o)
