Happy Sunday!! :o)
Today a World Space Week (WSW) started, an international celebration of science and technology, and their contribution to the betterment of the human condition. The UN declared in 1999 that WSW will be held each year from October 4 – October 10.
"These dates commemorate two events:
October 4, 1957: Launch of the first human-made Earth satellite, Sputnik 1, thus opening the way for space exploration
October 10, 1967: The signing of the Treaty on Principles Governing the Activites of States in the Exploration and Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies."
Find out more about WSW on the official WSW page.
EACH year WSW has different theme to celebrate and this year's theme is
“Satellites Improve Life.”
Like two previous years, this year I'm also organizing a World Space Week Blog Hop.
If you like, you can find previous years blog hops and find some inspiration on following links:
My crafty friends will be joining me in the hop, which starts on my blog, Saturday, October 10th, 2020, 8 PM, CEST (UTC +2). Stop by and hop with us for some inspiration and a lot of fun. :o) There will also be some amazing prizes from our fabulous sponsors. :o)
And that would be all from me for today. I spent most day outside and now I'm too tired to write blog post of my Jane's Doodles September spotlight projects that I planed to share here today (planed here). I'll do it in a day or two. :o)
Thank you for stopping by and your kind feedback. Enjoy and smile!!! :o)
